I didnt find The Fourh Turning very convincing. It is cherry-picking all the historical events that supports its thesis and ignores possible counterpoints. I believe one coild create a version of the book where each turning was shifted one location and still find enough historicak events to "prove" it correct.
The book is based on an extremely sticky and compellling idea, which simplifies the world and its narrative, and makes it easy for the reader to see his place in history.
