So what were the last few lines of the speech that didn't make it? Well done compressing your talk into such a short time; the guy introducing you talked just about as long as you did!
You did a beautiful job Greg. The idea that you held the lectern too tightly or were hunched over is in your head. Instead, you came across as kindly, thoughtful, and sincere, smiling at the appropriation places. You also demonstrated humility and a generosity of spirit by praising your sister’s accomplishments.
However, it saddens me to know that the faculty, or at least some of them, could be so petty and insincere as to attempt to suppress the free speech of a free-speech advocate. FIRE has a lot of work to do. The upside is that you did speak and the young people heard something far more worthwhile than the usual commencement drivel.
After government employees (at an institution of higher learning, no less) declared their intention to honor you for your thoughts and words (by asking you to share more of your thoughts and words), I would have thought they would not be so hasty in retaliating against you for FIRE's thoughts and words. So much for thinking (and higher learning).
Thanks Greg. I think you do amazing work that is fair and kind hearted. You seem to be genuinely trying to point out information and ideas that help everyone. It boggles my mind that people don’t see that.

Have you ever read anything by Robert Anton Wilson and his idea of "maybe logic"? The Dune re-working at the end could have been written by him.
Thanks for all your work on these important issues!

I think you are right. I doubt most people voting against you have not read your work. Sad state of affairs.

Really great. Hope you have the opportunity to do this more!
I am going to check that out.
