I find it odd that even in the case of a psychotic mass murderer, some people feel the need to "respect their pronouns".

Because signaling "part of the sick tribe" is more important than anything.

You risk your job. I am not risking mine. The people funding trans causes have DEEP pockets. Besides, feminists' wanted to end gendered spaces. Now they won, and they can feel what men have been forced to for a long time.

Can’t disagree with you, sadly, on either point.

Should you be able to hurl racial slurs at psychotic mass murderers?

Audrey Hale was a woman, why are you being silly?

Women have been ruining men's spaces for decades. Blame feminist activism for this. Either we allow separate spaces for both sexes, or we have none. There is no way we break apart so many institutions created to help young men grow up and not be criminals, then say that women have a right to avoid trans people. YOU people wanted this stupid system. Either restore the system that took thousands of years to build, or live with the consequences.

Men never asked for women on their sports teams, or women in camping trips where now boys cannot be boys, and the most pointless, forcing women into men's clubs. Reverse that idiocy first, then we can help you with your transphobia.

If someone inhabits a body that incorporates the XX chromosome into their essential physical structure instead of the XY chromosome, they are female. That's the sole criterion required for a conclusive definition. It has the added advantage of being concise.

(This is also the answer that Ketanji Brown Jackson should have supplied to her inquisitors in her Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearing.)

If someone inhabits a body that incorporates the XY chromosome in their essential physical structure instead of the XX chromosome, they are male. In rare cases, individuals present with both chromosomes being present, or an XO chromosomal makeup, in which case they are intersex.

I don't have any use for essentialism unless it's warranted, but the distinction of Sex identity happens to be a place where it's warranted.

Excellent article. Infuriating, but so typical of how things are here.

“…because in Tennessee some things just are.”

Truer words have never been spoken.

The better questions fron the Chancellor would be, "Why has this investigation not concluded, what is still being resolved, and how much longer do you expect to keep what should be public knowledge under court ordered secrecy?"

Bureaucrats in Tennessee are ignorant of the resources aligned against them.

Instapundit has both wide reach and sentimental interest in getting word out.

But the totalitarians never learn, do they?

Tuned out when you referred to her as "he". Really think about what you're doing here. You are validating a monster.

You lost me at using a mass murderer's preferred pronouns. I'm a financial supporter and member of FIRE. Please be honest. Audrey Hale was a woman.

"When access to information is blocked, we are less safe from harm, not more."

True, of course, but the thing is, "our" safety is not important - it's honestly not even particularly desirable to these people.

Some authorities assume most of the public are dumb, reactive and unbalanced mentally. Judges see a good deal of the lowest order of society in their courtrooms and are particularly prone to a low general assessment of the public.Their attitude on everything from guns to "crime inciting" information is affected by this.

Prima facie it seems like all the rest of freedom of speech shut downs; by neo liberals identifying as "right" or "left"; depending on each individual paymaster ( follow the power and money essentially) However a logically and legal perspective would be better in this instant and despite "pronoun BS capturing of comprehensive English meaning and language by the nutjob transhumanist lobby activist men mostly colonising women " It is about not having a legal case thrownout due to the court finding for the guilt or not of an accused in custody pending ! The courts and media might want to support whistleblowers like Assange and those women stuck woth intact violent offenders who are being doubly punished simply as they are born women with biological rights marginalised per the women in sports getting smashed by mediocre male athletes fancies coming first under so called gender equality lies and propaganda ; this sick individual self disphoria and the her incorrect delusions reinforced via social media contagion and quackery and hormones are the guilty subjects herein ready to be exposed
