As a Canadian who is losing my freedom of speech due to our Liberal government’s love of censorship I look to the US as the leader for those of us who value freedom as it is the only thing keeping us from tyranny.
The comic-book over has the wrong flag: the terrorists were flying the flag of global islamic jihad (aka the "Palestine" flag), not the French tricolor.
Please note, it appears you're spreading a right-wing lie, perhaps unintentionally. All this stuff makes me very sympathetic to Macron's viewpoint. There's no cost to the deliberate liars. It's time-consuming for me to find the debunking, and people won't read it.
"But one dramatic image showing protesters throwing fireworks and waving Palestinian flags at the foot of the Eiffel Tower isn’t real. OpenAI’s detector told us the image contains an invisible SynthID watermark, indicating it was made or edited with OpenAI tools such as ChatGPT, the OpenAI API or Codex."
"A viral video that appears to show people hanging large Palestinian and Jordanian flags from the top of the Eiffel Tower isn’t real either."
Note, the claim is not, if you scour the whole country, for the entire period, you couldn't find some group somewhere with Arab flags ("Palestines for ..." certainly is a possibility). But that this is the core case? Pure nonsense.
Why do/should I have to constantly slog through this? I'm not on Macron's side, but I can sure see where's he's coming from, in good faith.
No, "face-to-face dialogue" CANNOT "help bridge political and cultural divides.". Many (not all, but many) such divides are fundamentally irreconcilable, and often nice people shy away from this. Those people who do this stuff confuse having a pleasant chat versus meaningful action. There's nothing wrong with having a pleasant chat across those political and cultural divides. But it doesn't change anything to do so.

Those aren't real, but there are plenty of real ones. Here's one:
https://www.facebook.com/K24English/videos/during-the-protests-in-france-flags-of-several-arab-countries-were-prominently-d/2366472630847741/
That's "Kurdistan24 English", and it says:
"During the protests in France, flags of several Arab countries were prominently displayed, while the French national flag was conspicuously absent."
That's a straight-out lie ("conspicuously absent"). It's obvious sheer barking propaganda.
